so what do you do when your little guy asks for a gingerbread house for easter? i wasn't quite sure, since i had only made our first one this past christmas from a box. but eventually the wheels in my brain began to turn and i bought some graham crackers and peeps, which i figured were essential, tracked down a recipe for the hardening frosting, snagged a few bags of easter candy and pulled some coconut from the freezer and voila! an easter-bunny hutch.
the kids loved it, and the tears in jasper's eyes are from his cries in anticipation of the joy of beheading a little yellow marshmallow bunny.
