For our next adventure we hopped on a bus over Labor Day weekend and went to the historic area of Kapadokya (Cappadocia). For those of you studying the New Testanment take a peek at you Bible maps. If you look at the journeys of Paul through Asia (we have learned that any time the New Testament says Asis think Turkey) at the top right of your maps you should se Cappadocia. At the onset of Christianity not much is going on as far north as Cappadocia, but not too long after the cavelands become a hiding place for Christians.
Cappadocia means "land of beautiful horses", but the main this it is famous for is it's rock formations, grapes and rustic pottery.
