After we went to Neuschwanstein we were ready to take on the outdoors, so we decided to climb to the top off the tallest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze of the Alps. Luckily the Germans are big believers in the idea that the outdoors are for everyone, and they have a train that takes the elderly and the lazy to the top of the mountain. So we hopped on, and without breaking a sweat we raced to the top.
When we got there we found snow and Arcadia and Johannes built what Arcadia christened ARCADIA'S LITTLEST SNOWMAN EVER!! (capital letters and exclamation points required to show enthusiasm). Matthijas on the other hand slept the entire time we were on the mountain.
We got to take the funicular down the mountain, and I am a bit of a scaredy-pants when it comes to hanging from a wire in a basket hundreds of feet from the ground. Of course Arcadia loved it and it "tickled my tummy" she says when we hit the bumps each time we changed to a lower level.
