Eet Smakelijk

For Sinterklaas I bought myself some vinyl wall words. I found a local source for 50cents an inch. Online this was going to cost me $57, but I got it from this lady for $14. Nice. Eet Smakelijk is the Dutch equivilant of Bon Appetit or Gute Essen or Smacznego.

For the past few years I have been collecting Dutch recipes for Sinterklaas Day. Other years I have made Erwtensoep (Split Pea Soup) and a few other crazy items for parties, but this year it was just us so I made our favorites: Oudhollandse aardappelschotel/ gegratineerde aardappelen met ham, Appelmoes met schuimkop, Asperges and Pepernoten.

All the of the recipes I use are on www.godutch.com, except the pepernoten which is a super-secret recipe available only to those I chose to share with.
