Matthijas has a girlfriend

Matthijas has discovered girls. Well. Girls and boys and people. He is learning to relate to people outside his family and make friends. His first ever friend is Rachel. She and Matthijas go to nursery together at church, and Rachel has a little baby brother who was born 5 weeks before Jasper. We had Thanksgiving together and ever since then Rachel has declared Matthijas her best friend. She always wants to come to my house and play so I watched her while her parents went to a Squadron Christmas party. They were in the playroom squeeling and giggling and then suddenly got quiet. Any time toddlers suddenly get quiet is cause for concern. But when I peeked in they were sitting together playing on their doodle-pads and copying eachothers scribbles.
