We saw the house

So we went to our appointment to today and saw the inside of the house. Strangely the work I had expected to need to be done will be different than what in fact needs to be done. If we could get the price down low enough we could probably swing getting it up to code and keeping a decent mortgage. There are some great things about the house, but the master bathroom is uber-scary, and the blue carpet in the attic is far worse than the pictures can portray. Luckily it doesn't smell like old people or mice. But we may be able to inherit some of the furniture and Turkish rugs, a cool piano in the entry way, and a grandfather clock along with the house. We just don't know if we are up to the work.
