my presents in the office then called Jenean and the kids to
wish them a Merry Christmas. My friends set up a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Monopoly game at the Green Bean (the café/game room in the palace lounge), and this time, I won (the secret is to quickly develop the Orange properties). Joe Wildman brought a German “Stollen” cake and some mince meat pies for breakfast. Then we went to the palace theatre and watched “A Christmas Story” and laughed until we cried. We ate our Christmas feast at around 3:30, and it was great. The decorations were up in the chow hall, and dinner included ham, turkey, lobster tail, shrimp cocktail and prime rib! The chow hall does a great job with the seasonal decorations, and for Christmas, they put together one of the best gingerbread villages in the middle East. 
After dinner we went back to the Green Bean and played Scrabble, and later went to an open hooch get-together at the married couples trailer (Amy Wenger works in my office, and her husband Scott works across the hall). Later, I got to call Christie and Cobie and break the news that we are expecting Baby Number 3. They were duly excited. Christie is hoping for a girl, because right now the cousins are Boy (Eston), Girl (Arcadia), Boy (Matthijas), Girl (Stella) and Boy (Jack). We’ll do what we can.
