The Bad Side of Town- not for the faint of heart

We went through Hercules gate, and then to the public potty where 45 men could relieve themselves at any given time (women didn't get to use any facilities if they were lucky enough to get to come into town). There was running water at their feet and a water fall to cover up any unpleasant sounds. And, because the potty was made of stone, a manservant was brought in to sit on the chosen spot to warm up the stone ahead of time.

The we went to the Bordello, which was actually a house of fertility worship (of course). Our group's favorite part was that there had been frescoes on the doors that allowed the believers to chose which type of worship they wanted to participate in.
