Yet again, we got into BIAP at 3 in the morning, then came the in-processing. We got to bed, again in a tent, at 5am on Sunday, the 4th of November. I got some sleep and lunch, then it was on to the International Zone (“IZ”, sometimes called the Green Zone in the press). We took three bus rides, then finally, a helicopter ride on a Blackhawk. That was my first helo ride, so I was pretty stoked. We also got a bird’s eye view of the city we were going to be living in for the next little while.
I got to see the swords but my camera ran out of batteries, so this is a picture borrowed from
